Thomas Hodgkin was a British historian, biographer, banker, and Quaker minister. Hodgkin’s magnum opus, The Barbarian Invasions of the Roman Empire, was first published under the title Italy and her Invaders, in six volumes, by The Clarendon Press, between 1880-1899.
