Draken (A Flight of Dragons in the UK) is a 1979 speculative evolution book written by Peter Dickinson and illustrated by Wayne Anderson.
Dickinson states he got the idea for his ‘pseudo-scientific monograph’ after looking at one of Ursula K. LeGuin’s Earthsea books.

About Peter Dickinson
Peter Malcolm de Brissac Dickinson (16 December 1927 – 16 December 2015) was an English author and poet, best known for children’s books and detective stories.
For his contributions as a children’s writer Dickinson was a finalist for the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 2000.
